My passion for personal growth began in high school after reading Houston Smith and his book on comparative religion.
My college years led me to study comparative religion and I completed a BA in the History of Art, Anthropology and Religion 1974. During these years I began exploring growth modalities including yoga, meditation and prayer.
A life threatening illness in my early twenties changed my life and I became involved with Christian healing and mysticism. After six rough years I discovered acupuncture and holistic medicine. As I recovered, I journeyed through many forms of massage and therapy trainings which led me to a bodywork practice for about ten years. Studies included Rosen Bodywork, Mier Schneider’s School of Self Healing, Psychosynthesis and Process Oriented Psychotherapy and about eight years with Stuart Cubley and Michelle Cassou in the Painting Experience.
In 1996 I went to Brazil. This began an amazing walk that continues today with music, writing, ritual and the healing traditions of Brazil and Peru. I am currently living in California and Hawaii working with different forms of art and sacred ritual.
I recently published a book entitled Whispering With The Sacred, a selection of prayer, poems and hymns written in devotion of the Mother Mary. The book’s 76 pages progress though a palette of elemental hues, offering an appearance of the devotional passages as if floating in the sacred embrace of the heavens and earth.
